Suntrust Resort Holdings has confirmed that its hotel and casino development in Manila remains on course to open in the fourth quarter of 2025.
In an update published in its 2024 Annual Report, the company stated that construction of the resort’s main structure, including façade systems up to roof level, had been completed as of 31 December 2024. Work on key mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems was said to be substantially complete, with testing and commissioning activities already under way.
Interior architectural work and landscaping efforts are currently in progress. Suntrust, which is listed in the Philippines, is a subsidiary of Hong Kong’s LET Group.
Once operational, the resort is expected to offer 475 hotel rooms and suites, a spa, pool deck, wellness facilities with views over Manila Bay, and various event spaces. These will include a 550-person ballroom, meeting rooms and dedicated areas for weddings. Plans also feature a grand opera house, two 800-seat theatres, a 3,000-seat performing arts venue, four cinemas and over 1,000 parking bays.
The casino floor will provide 281 gaming tables, 1,126 slot machines and 134 electronic table games, catering to both general and VIP clientele.
The development is located within Manila’s Entertainment City and is part of a broader effort to grow tourism infrastructure in the region. Although previous delays affected the timeline, the company did not indicate any new changes to the schedule in its latest disclosure.
