Walter Bugno was awarded the ‘Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.'
AWARDS
In 2015, during his IGT tenure, the company won two awards at the 2015 Global Gaming Awards. IGT’s S3000 cabinet was named “Casino Product of the Year” and IGT’s Powerbucks game was named “Land-Based Gaming Innovation of the Year.”
EMPLOYMENT
In May 2021, International Game Technology (IGT) announced the resignation of Walter Bugno, Executive VP of New Business and Strategic Initiatives.
He was in charge of leading the company’s lottery, gaming and interactive businesses throughout the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean among other regions.
Before his role as EVP of New Business and Strategic Initiatives, Bugno served as IGT’s International CEO, where he was responsible for the management and strategic development of the international region.
Bugno was previously the CEO of Bokks. Between 2006 and 2009 he was CEO of the Casino Division of Australia's Tabcorp Holdings.
From 2002 to 2006, he served as the President of Campbell Arnott's Asia Pacific.
Before that, Bugno was the Managing Director of Lion Nathan Australia, a division of Lion Nathan.
PRODUCTS LAUNCHED
In late 2021, the online gaming software provider Microgaming agreed to the sale of its Quickfire distribution business and portfolio of online games to Walter Bugno’s Games Global.
