In June 2023, Richard played a key role in securing a five-year extension with Flutter-owned operator Sky Bet and the English Football League (EFL). Steve Birch, Sky Bet COO, said, “I’m extremely proud of Sky Bet’s ongoing partnership with the EFL and delighted to have reached today’s agreement. Career Highlights

Ian began his business career as a Senior Partner at Oliver Wyman (Formerly Mercer Management Consulting) between 1998 and 2014. 

During his time at Oliver Wyman (OW), Brown founded and led three global consulting practices: travel and leisure, distribution and wholesale, and pricing, sales, and marketing. He also co-founded OW’s digital practice.

In May 2014, he was appointed CEO of Rentalcars.com, where he oversaw fundamental transformations to the business and its culture for over five years.

Later, he served as the CEO of Booking.com’s sister company, BookingGo, from January 2018 to October 2019.

University of Oxford-educated (from 1993-1997), Ian Brown replaced Conor Grant as CEO of Flutter Entertainment UK & Ireland in September 2022. He was responsible for the Paddy Power, Sky Betting and Gaming, Betfair, and Tombola brands in the UK and Ireland up until his departure in January 2025.
