Sportradar has announced a company-wide reorganisation of its operations, making the shift towards a “more regionalised approach” that will support future growth.

Effective from 1 January 2021, the new structure will aim to continue Sportradar’s transformation from a leading betting data provider into a global technology company.

While Carsten Koerl will remain group CEO, three regional CEOs will head operations around the world.

Arne Rees becomes the CEO of North America operations, with Werner Becher overseeing UK/EMEA and LATAM, and Eduard Blonk overseeing Asia Pacific on an interim basis.

Sportradar says the reorganisation will enable the supplier to further leverage global product development, operations and engineering infrastructure.

The changes will ensure the business can operate in closer proximity to its end markets, thus enabling it to better support the needs of its customers, regulators and sports rights.

Koerl said: "Sportradar is fully committed to delivering an unmatched experience to our customers and partners.

"Our updated structure will increase our levels of customer intimacy, agility and overall responsiveness, while also leveraging our tremendous global scale.

"This reorganisation is a critical step for the future growth of the business and we will continue to ambitiously set the bar high in the industry."
