Golden Matrix Group applies for Mexican gaming licence

From its headquarters in Las Vegas, Golden Matrix is looking to take its offering south of the border after it receives approval from Mexico’s authorities.

Once secured, the company intends to launch its RKings tournament platform in the LatAm jurisdiction, which would be the first region to welcome the platform outside of the UK and Ireland.

Based in Northern Ireland, RKings offers customers “paid for entry, and free entry, routes to enter prize competitions.”

“This a logical move for the company, as it opens up compelling opportunities in the Latin America B2C market; and it begins the expansion of the RKings tournament platform to our first region outside of the UK and Ireland,” said Golden Matrix CEO Brian Goodman.

“We are confident that, in addition to casino games and sportsbook betting, RKings will be received enthusiastically, generate significant revenues and boost our overall profitability.”

Goodman also reiterated the company’s financial results for the first fiscal quarter ended 31 January 2022, in which it achieved record revenue.

RKings, in which Golden Matrix acquired an 80% controlling ownership interest at the beginning of the current fiscal year, provided “significant revenue contributions.”

Further information regarding the results of its operations, Golden Matrix’s statement read, will be included in the company’s Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q, which it intends to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission on or before 10 March.

Golden Matrix is a gaming technology company that develops and owns online gaming IP, and builds white-label social gaming platforms.
