Sweden’s BOS elects Danish operator Lyckost as new member

Danish operator Lyckost ApS has been elected as the newest member of The Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling (BOS).

BOS

Lyckost already holds a Swedish gambling licence and operates in the country, using the same brand name as the company and licence holder.

Lyckost is the 21st member to join BOS and is an existing member of the CEGO group, which operates online casinos in both its native Denmark (spilnu.dk) and the UK (happytiger.co.uk).

BOS Secretary General Gustaf Hoffstedt said of Lyckost: “Lyckost brings us knowledge about the gambling market in general and the Danish gambling market in particular.

“That is of value since it is a society that resembles Sweden, but was almost a decade ahead in introducing a licence system for gambling.”

Lyckost, too, has described BOS as a “key player” within the development of Sweden’s gambling market.

Its CEO, Allan Auning-Hansen, said: “At Lyckost we believe it is important the gambling industry collaborate and engage with regulators.

“At Lyckost, we are pleased to become part of BOS. We look forward to gaining more insights into the Swedish market, and support with the insights we have from many years in the Danish market and the UK.”

Other BOS members include executive board members William Hill, Kindred, Betsson, bet365 and LeoVegas, as well as ordinary members Betway, Pinnacle, PokerStars, Flutter Entertainment and Entain.

It yet remains unclear whether Lyckost will join BOS as a board member or an ordinary member.
