The agency awarded IGT a gold medal sustainability rating, positioning IGT in the top 5% of companies worldwide that it has assessed.
EcoVadis evaluates a business’ sustainability performance against specific criteria. Companies are assessed based on 21 benchmarks nested under four categories, or “themes.” These are the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
The agency’s methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and the ISO 26000.
In describing its process, EcoVadis states: “We rate performance by assessing a company’s policies, actions and results, as well as inputs from third-party professionals and external stakeholders.”
A gold medal rating is the second highest grade awarded by the agency, after platinum. Consequently, receiving the rating reflects well on IGT.
Wendy Montgomery, the provider’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Sustainability, commented on IGT’s sustainability efforts.

Moreover, Montgomery, on behalf of IGT, was proud to have been awarded a gold medal rating and reiterated the provider’s commitment to sustainability.
