The sponsorship extension is part of an expanded deal to maintain naming rights of the three-day Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Festival which runs from 15 September to 17 September 2022.
Once again, the Ayr Gold Cup will be broadcast live by ITV Racing. In 2021, ITV’s coverage reached 1.24 million people, with a peak audience of 632,000 for the flagship race.
Virgin Bet will sponsor eight other races during the festival, including the Ayr Silver Cup, Doonside Cup Listed Race and the Firth of Clyde Stakes.
The operator will also continue its support of the Kilkerran Cup and the Ayr Bronze Cup.
