Wiz Khalifa to headline FanDuel FanFest in September
Tickets are going on sale for FanDuel’s upcoming Chicago FanFest, a one-day event designed to bring sports and music lovers together.
The festival is set to take place on Saturday 10 September at Guaranteed Rate Field, the home stadium of Chicago’s White Sox.
Rapper Wiz Khalifa will headline FanFest, alongside Swedish DJ and producer Alesso. A range of personalities from the world of sport will also attend the event, including ex-Chicago Bears players Charles Tillman, Brian Urlacher and Devin Hester.
According to Andrew Sneyd, FanDuel’s Senior Vice President of Brand, FanFest is intended to celebrate its customers and sports betting in Illinois.
He said: “Between the amazing musical performances featuring Wiz Khalifa and Alesso, and the legendary athletes like Brian Urlacher and Devin Hester who will be in attendance, this event will have something for all and is just another way for us to do something extraordinary to celebrate our customers and sports betting in the state of Illinois.”
Throughout the day, attendees will be treated to FanDuel’s so-called “Superstar Showdown.” This will pit Chicago sporting icons against one another in a series of challenges, such as axe throwing and connect 4 basketball, to name a few.
Guests will be able to participate by predicting who will win these challenges via FanDuel’s “Free-2-Play game.”
Other activities will also be available, including a pop-up FanDuel Sports Bar and Lounge, brand activations and trophy photo ops.
Sneyd remarked: “We are excited to bring our successful and highly-entertaining FanDuel FanFest event to the great city of Chicago.”
