The club’s signature diamond pattern is used as a base layer, with a silver neck trim paying homage to the success of Dundee United’s 1983 season. The QuinnCasino logo can be seen emblazoned across the front of the strip.
The kit was originally set to launch on 30 July; however, distribution delays in China have forced the club to postpone the launch, with a rescheduled date yet to be confirmed.
As per the terms of the deal, the QuinnCasino logo is displayed on the men’s home and away kits, with further brand advertising at Dundee United’s home ground, Tannadice Park.
Additionally, QuinnCasino has committed to supporting Dundee United’s Community Trust Charity, working to raise awareness and promote responsible gambling.
Speaking at the time, QuinnBet MD Stephen Kelly said: “Like Dundee United, we have big ambitions. Our brands QuinnBet and QuinnCasino are enjoying great support in Scotland, and we are excited to be a part of Dundee United’s journey for the season ahead.
“We are also very keen to work with Dundee United Community Trust promoting wellbeing, education and awareness around gambling.”
QuinnBet previously secured a partnership with Edinburgh’s Hibernian FC; however, the Dundee United agreement marks the first QuinnCasino deal for a Scottish club.
Dundee United Head of Commercial and Sponsorship Elliot Shaw added that the partnership would bring “significant benefits” to both the team and the wider community.
Naturally, there is plenty of controversy surrounding gambling sponsors in football at the moment, which is more south of the border in the Premier League.
