Betfred signs multi-year partnership with Iowa Wild

By Gambling Insider

Betfred has strengthened its position in the Iowa market by signing a multi-year sponsorship with the Iowa Wild American Hockey League team.

The deal will provide Betfred with a range of significant marketing prospects in digital, print, radio and TV, as well as brand exposure opportunities on game days at the Wells Fargo Arena.

Betfred COO Bryan Bennett said: "We're extremely proud of our partnership with the Iowa Wild and are excited to be part of the expansive American Hockey League community.

“We recently launched our new betting app in Iowa, and we knew this would be an amazing opportunity to continue investing in the state. We look forward to getting started and providing Wild fans an engaging experience for the upcoming season."

The deal will offer Iowa Wild fans the chance to enter ticket giveaways, suite sweepstakes and win merchandise in the upcoming 2022/23 season.

Iowa Wild Senior Director of Sales Brent Arnold said: "We are excited to announce Betfred as our exclusive partner in the sportsbook category.

“We look forward to the tremendous addition Betfred will bring to our Iowa Wild fan experience."

The announcement is indicative of Betfred’s commitment to promoting sports betting in the state of Iowa, after recently launching its new betting apps and penning an agreement with the Iowa Cubs.

In June, Betfred confirmed that its Iowa sportsbook at the Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort will be powered by long-term partner OpenBet’s digital and retail technology solution.

Betfred is currently licensed in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Arizona and Louisiana.

The operator has plans to launch an Ohio sports betting app when the state launches legalised sports betting in 2023.
