The annual safer gambling event will take place between 17-23 October and aims to get the UK gambling industry involved in making people aware of the dangers of problem gambling.

Now, SkillOnNet has announced all of its brands will be involved in the campaign, including PlayOJO, Slingo, Genting Casino and SpinGenie. Meanwhile, EGaming Online, SkillOnNet’s affiliate programme, has also asked affiliate partners to consider participating in the event.

Part of the promotion involves brands and affiliates having a banner on homepages to raise awareness during the week-long campaign, as well as sending out a Safer Gambling Week email to customers on mail databases.

Michael Golembo at SkillOnNet said of the promotion: “Safer gambling has always been a watchword for SkillOnNet and we have always expected the same of our EGO affiliate marketing partners.

“They have always done a great job of arming players with the tools and knowledge they need to make responsible decisions and informing them about resources available if gambling becomes a problem. But let’s push that message even harder during Safer Gambling Week.”

In related news, Nordic gambling company Paf recently announced it had set a mandatory loss limit of €10,000 ($9,800) for gamblers aged between 18-24 across all of its sites.

Jenna Ekström, Responsible Gaming Manager for Paf, commented on the move: “We need to take a stronger grip and minimise the risks for our young customers. Therefore, this is a good measure that strengthens our take on responsible gaming.
