The online casino, which will be called Mexplay, will feature table games and slots as well as a sportsbook.

The sportsbook will offer tournament competition prizes similar to Golden Matrix’s RKings subsidiary in Great Britain.

Golden Matrix adds that Mexplay content will be available in both Spanish and English.

Brian Goodman, Golden Matrix CEO, said: “This represents the next major step by our company to expand its B2C footprint. The recently acquired B2C operations of RKings now account for over 50% of our revenues and over 50% of our profits; similarly, we now expect important contributions to revenue and profit growth from our operations in Mexico.

“While Mexplay offers many traditional and popular online casino games and a sportsbook, it also incorporates the added excitement of the tournament business, which is unique to Mexican gaming and should attract considerable player interest and participation.”

Golden Matrix feels the launch of Mexplay fulfills the first objective of its strategy to expand its B2C business in Latin America.

Goodman says after the launch of Mexplay, the company will focus on entering additional Latin American countries where gaming is regulated.

Golden Matrix only applied for an operating licence in Mexico in March this year, marking an 8-month gap from initiating licence procedures to going live in Mexico.

The company is a gaming technology supplier that develops and owns IP and builds white-label B2B gaming platforms for customers worldwide.
