Electric vehicle car-sharing platform EV Mobility and Westgate Las Vegas & Casino have signed an agreement to deploy electric vehicles (EVs) for hotel and timeshare guests.

EV Mobility CEO Ramy El-Batrawi said: “We are excited to partner with Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino as the first hotel in their portfolio offering transportation to guests as part of the experience. We expect high utilisation from timeshare owners.”

Timeshares are multiple ownership arrangements of a single property, and Westgate Resorts develops timeshare locations in the US.

Westgate Resorts was founded in 1982 by David Siegel, and is headquartered in Orlando, which has seven resort locations.

The company has 22 themed destination resorts nationwide, with 14,000 luxury villas and hotel rooms in several destinations.

As well as Orlando, Westgate Resorts has property in Cocoa Beach, Florida; New York City, New York; Park City, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Williamsburg, Virginia; Branson, Missouri; and Mesa, Arizona.

In 2022, the company launched its World of Westgate Loyalty Programme, which rewards Westgate owners with perks and privileges.

EV Mobility provides electric vehicles on demand through a mobile application. The company says its products are an amenity for luxury hotels, multi-family apartments and commercial buildings.

The company largely offers Tesla vehicles to timeshare residents, allowing those using timeshare properties to gain easy access to surrounding amenities and local services.

The EV Mobility service began in Los Angeles in 2021 and is currently in a process of expansion to other cities.

Its partnership with Westgate is, therefore, just one of several new growth development plans it hopes to execute over the coming months and years.
