Bayes Esports expands betting products in New Jersey and Colorado

Bayes Esports is set to be registered as a licensed sports betting supplier in New Jersey and Colorado, providing live data to bet365 upon its entry in both markets.

Bayes Esports expands betting products in New Jersey and Colorado

Bayes says this makes it the first registered supplier in the US to leverage esports live data directly from a game publisher.

The supplier notes the challenges of states opening online sports betting one at a time, with different regulations, as it can be a struggle for operators to ensure each part of their betting value chain is sufficiently licensed.

Being licensed itself, Bayes notes its status as a regulated supplier negates any worries of illegitimacy in the sports betting data it provides.

The supplier says that bet365 has signed up for its esports live data solution in both New Jersey and Colorado, which will build on the tech stack the sportsbook offers in both states.

Furthermore, Bayes has revealed that discussions are underway with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, to deliberate on legislation that could bring betting on esports to the state legally and responsibly.

Bayes Esports COO and Managing Director Amir Mirzaee said: “Back in May when we announced the closing of our financing round, we stated that we were looking to expand into the US market and that we were looking to become a licensed betting supplier. Today, just a couple of months later, we have kept our promise.

“The betting market in the US is changing and while it is still lagging behind its European counterpart, it without a doubt will be one of the biggest and most relevant markets soon. Out of all the states, New Jersey and Colorado happened to be the most progressive and open to innovation, but we expect others to follow suit very shortly.”
