Recently, Playtech has been concentrating its growth in Italy, and this deal only reinforces that move – with news of this new partnership coming days after Playtech also signed up Lottomatica for its iPoker service.

Paolo Marchi, Managing Director at AdmiralBet, commented on the deal: “As a world leader in the gambling industry with an unrivalled track record of success in Poker, Playtech was a natural choice as our new network provider.

“The company’s commitment to Poker is clear, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership as we build our market share in Italy.”

Meanwhile, Marat Koss, VP of Interactive Gaming at Playtech, added: “We are delighted to welcome AdmiralBet.it to the iPoker network.

“The past few years have seen great changes in the Poker sector, and while these have included undeniable challenges, Playtech has continued to invest in both enhancing our Poker product and extending our network.

"AdmiralBet is one of Italy’s fastest-growing Poker operators, and we are very proud to be chosen as their partner to build on this success.”

The news comes after Playtech posted a 73% revenue rise for H1 2022 – totalling €792.3m ($777.9m) for the six months of the year.

Commenting on the fiscal result, Playtech CEO Mor Weizer said: “I am delighted with the positive start that the group has made in the first half of 2022, delivering a financial performance ahead of our expectations with significant strategic and operational progress made against our objectives.”
