Internet Vikings gains approval in Pennsylvania

The global hosting provider noted that the move marks another goal for the company in the US iGaming and online sports betting market as it prepares to increase the volume of clients it services in the state.

“I am extremely pleased to receive the authorisation from Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to operate our Multi-Tenant Cloud hosting services in the state of Pennsylvania,” said  Internet Vikings Founder and CEO Rickard Vikström.

“This latest advancement is not only an important gain for Internet Vikings. It enables our company to address the global hardware shortage currently faced by the industry, which in its turn gives a competitive advantage to our clients allowing for a quicker time to enter the American market.”

The group noted that the industry recognises the state of Pennsylvania as one of the more important markets as it is one of the few jurisdictions which permits all three online wagering types; online sports betting, online casino and online poker. Moreover, it is continuously among the five highest-grossing states in terms of revenue generated.

Internet Vikings’ custom products currently cater to clients through more than 20 local data centres across 18 US states, with more set to follow in the near future.

Internet Vikings COO Kristoffer Ottosson commented: “We want to continue adding value to iGaming and online sports betting businesses across the US with our extensive understanding of the market and reliable cloud hosting options.

“Expanding our service offerings in Pennsylvania is a big step forward for us, and the team looks forward to welcoming new clients and partnerships.”
