Asia round-up: Real Luck Group, Success Dragon, Hoiana & Far East Consortium

Real Luck Group has announced plans to acquire an Asia-focused iGaming platform in its Q3 2022 report.

The iGaming platform, although unnamed, has its own proprietary tech stack. The acquisition is subject to approval from the TSX Venture Exchange.

Real Luck Group CEO Thomas Rosander said: "Q3 was about ramping up our player acquisition initiatives. As reported, our record Q4 key performance indicators are a testament that our scalable plan is delivering above our expectations.

“We are already seeing significant improvements for growth in Q4 2022, as we now focus on driving additional player value, deposits and wagers on our platform.

"Adding B2B to our proprietary platform has always been a significant part of the Luckbox strategy, and this important acquisition means we will complete this objective almost a year in advance of our projections.”

The acquisition of an unnamed target will see Real Luck Group acquire 100% of the company’s shares and technology, granting it access to over 6,000 games from 50 providers and 100 localised payment methods.

Success Dragon posts HK$1.6m net loss for six months ended 30 September 2022

Macau-based service provider to land-based slot games, Success Dragon, has reported a net loss of HK$1.6m ($200,000) in the six months ended 30 September 2022.

This marks a notable yet understandable downturn year-on-year, as the provider posted a net profit of HK$4.4m in the same period last year.

This is a result of revenue from serving Macau’s slot machines and ETG’s dropping 63% year-on-year to HK$7.1m.

The business's main source of income has been its gold processing and trading business, although revenue from these arms of business is also down 5% year-on-year.

Hoiana showing World Cup Games

Hoiana Resort & Golf is showing World Cup games at the Một-Hai-Bar, The Garden and The Edge locations of its resort.

The hotel and casino resort will be showing games on 10-metre-wide LED screens.

Hoiana will also offer a “Share & Win” promotion, prompting visitors to pose at its Football Fever and post an image online to win a free drink.

"Adding B2B to our proprietary platform has always been a significant part of the Luckbox strategy, and this important acquisition means we will complete this objective almost a year in advance of our projections”

Far East Consortium International revenue falls 3% for H1 2023, granted Malta licence

Far East Consortium International has generated HK$3bn in revenue for H1 2023, down 3% compared to the six months ended 30 September 2021.

The company attributes this drop in revenue to less residential property development being completed and settled compared to the same period last year.

However, Far East Consortium notes that it received AU$91m (US$61.3m) in revenue from The Star Entertainment, which contributed to a share of results from joint ventures up 13% year-on-year at HK$3.5bn. Far East Consortium owns a 4.99% stake in The Star.

Most interestingly, Far East Consortium’s H1 report reveals it recently obtained an online gaming licence from Malta in November 2022.

This was attained through its Palasino set of casino destinations – a Czech Republic-based set of resorts situated on the borders of Austria and Germany.
