Mark Giannantonio, President of the Casino Association of New Jersey, said: “Atlantic City is the place to be this New Year’s Eve. We are excited to welcome visitors to our world-class destination for what is sure to be an exciting and fun-filled weekend.

“As we mark the end of 2022, we would like to recognise all our employees for their hard work and dedication, ensuring we continue to deliver top-notch experiences for all our customers.”

He added: “Despite the challenges of recent years, we pride ourselves on being one of the premiere destination resorts in the region and are hopeful that we will see economic growth in our city and beyond in the new year.”

Various events including gourmet dinners, dancing, and open bars are being provided by the hotels.

Meanwhile, Atlantic City Casinos are also providing celebrations for Christmas 2022 and the holiday season.

In July 2022, Resorts Casino reached a labour agreement with Atlantic City’s main casino workers union, leaving just Golden Nugget without a new pay agreement for its workers.

Resorts opened in Atlantic City in 1978 and was the first US casino property to open outside of Nevada.

Atlantic City is located on Absecon Island and borders Absecon, Brigantine, Pleasantville, Ventnor City, Egg Harbor Township, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Atlantic City inspired the US version of the board game Monopoly, which is reflected in the use of Atlantic City street names in the game.
