PokerMatch India partners with professional poker league Match IPL

PokerMatch International’s India division has partnered with the professional match poker league Match IPL. Founded in 2017, the league has been running for four seasons.

Since its founding, the poker room has offered more than R 8.6m ($104,100) in prize money across its tournaments. The winning teams in its league represent India at the match poker Nations Cup.  

Match IPL’s fifth season is scheduled to take place in February 2023 and allows all PokerMatch India players the chance to qualify for online competitions.  

PokerMatch International CEO Ruslan Bangert said: “Over the past few years, we have been analyzing the Indian market in detail, recognizing its sustainability and dynamism. And today, being the largest player in Eastern Europe, we want to invite players from India to join our poker community. 

“We will do everything possible to make the game in our room comfortable and interesting for each new customer. The online poker community needs more like-minded people, so we are building the friendliest community in the industry.” 

Qualifiers for Match IPL begin on 21 December 2022 and end on 15 January 2023, where a total of 12 places will be drawn.  

In this final stage of qualifying, which runs at 8pm local time every Sunday, the top three players qualify for Match IPL. 

Bangert continued: “We know how to make players fall in love with poker. Therefore, we are sincerely glad to join the competition of such a scale. 

“PokerMatch India is confident that the upcoming poker tournament, Match IPL, will be organised at a high level, and the Indian poker players and teams will once again demonstrate a high level of their skills. We wish inspiration and good luck to the future champions.”
