Called the ‘Kick of Destiny,’ the campaign will see Gronkowski return to the Super Bowl, only this time he will attempt to kick a field goal at half-time during a live commercial for FanDuel.
The kick will see any FanDuel customer that bets more than $5 win a share of $10m if Gronkowski makes the field goal.
The campaign is FanDuel’s first during the Super Bowl and, during the half-time ad break, it will also show Gronkowski training with a former NFL kicker in to make the kick.
FanDuel EVP of Marketing, Andrew Sneyd, said: "Whether it's kick-off, a touchdown or an important play that will decide a season, FanDuel knows moments matter.
“Our first-ever Super Bowl commercial will be more than just a television spot – it will create a moment that will bring fans together and give them something to collectively cheer for. an unprecedented field goal attempt on live TV… so anything can happen."
Meanwhile, former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, NFL legend Rob Gronkowski added: "I spent my career catching the ball, but I always knew I could kick it, and now I'll do it live in front of football fans everywhere during the Super Bowl.
