Paysafe expands its US iGaming services into Ohio market

Payments platform Paysafe has announced its expansion into the new Ohio online sports betting market after entering the Maryland iGaming space in Q4 2022.

By offering its customers a range of payment alternatives, such as credit card and debit card deposits, and Paysafe’s Skrill digital wallet for both deposits and payments, Paysafe is enabling play safely for a variety of sportsbooks in the Midwestern state.

According to PlayOhio, the sports betting market in Ohio is expected to generate $900m in gross annual gaming revenue once mature.

Currently, Paysafe provides payment assistance for iGaming businesses in 25 different American states or jurisdictions. Along with other current partners, Paysafe has expanded its longstanding payment arrangements with DraftKings and PointsBet.

Additionally, Betway, PointsBet and SuperBookTM Sports can offer other payment options from third-party suppliers to their Ohio consumers, thanks to their access to the Paysafe payments platform.

Meanwhile, in September 2022, Paysafe partnered with sports betting operator ClutchBet in Iowa. This allows customers to use Paysafe’s upgraded Skrill USA digital wallet, alongside the provider’s Paysafecash eCash solution.

Customers of ClutchBet will also have access to Skrill USA and be given the option of joining the VIP player programme for Skrill USA.
