Rob Ziems leaves Aruze Gaming to join AGS as Chief Legal Officer

Rob Ziems has left his position as President of Aruze Gaming America to join AGS as its Chief Legal Officer.

Ziems has over 24 years of gaming and legal experience in the American sector. During his time at Aruze Gaming America, he held positions as the SVP of Business Development, Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary, Global Chief Legal Officer and finally the President.

He was responsible for a variety of improvements to the company through employee benefits, as well as negotiations and licences.

"Rob is a great addition to our leadership team as we diversify AGS' portfolio and advance our business strategy," said David Lopez, AGS President and CEO. "He has deep gaming and regulatory experience combined with a forward-thinking and collaborative leadership approach."

At AGS, Ziems will serve as its Chief Legal Officer. This means he will be responsible for overseeing the legal transactions and activities of the company. He will also lead the compliance affairs, as well as the Latin American and Interactive business strategies.

Ziems will succeed Victor Gallo, who served as the General Counsel for AGS for 12 years. Gallo will take on a new role at the company, as Secretary for the Company. 

AGS is a global company that designs, manufactures and operates gaming products. They primarily focus on Class II and Class III slot machines, as well as server-based gaming.

Recently, Aruze Gaming filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the State of Nevada.
