Supplier Light & Wonder has announced that Nejad will join the company as its Managing Director of Gaming, Americas.

Nejad will bring over 25 years of experience to the role, with her most recent position being SVP and Head of Marketing for Aristocrat Gaming.

She has also served as COO for the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission.

During this time, she was responsible for over $1.4bn in annual net revenue from bingo, casino and lottery games through product development and strategic marketing.

Across these roles, she also gained extensive knowledge of gambling, retail, IT and banking sectors.

Siobhan Lane, Light & Wonder CEO of Gaming, said: “I have had the pleasure of working with Niaz within our industry for many years, and I know her values, industry and business experience, as well as her people-centric leadership approach are the perfect fit for our team.

“As we continue to grow in the Americas, and around the world, I can think of no one better than Niaz to help strategically lead us in the right direction.”

In the role of Managing Director of Gaming, Nejad will be expected to provide insights into game development stages, make decisions in the project environment and support the company’s cross-platform integration.

Nejad is expected to join Light & Wonder later this year once her non-compete period ends from her contract with Aristocrat Gaming.

Gaming CEO Lane was a guest on the GI Huddle at ICE London.
