Brands such as Ladbrokes and Coral, both of which are owned by Entain, have adapted to accommodate the Digi-Hub – something that Entain is hoping to expand to over 200 by the end of 2024.

There are now 99 other Digi-Hubs across the UK and Ireland, all of which have digital touchpoints and interactive displays.

Entain is confident that the Digi-Hubs are the future of retail betting shops, stating: ‘Since 2019, when the first trial Digi-Hub opened, the roll-out of these digital-first shops has been integral in welcoming customers back to the high street. Entain has already seen over 1 million gaming sessions and over 10 million sports bets take place in Digi-Hubs.’

Will Thorp, Strategy Director of UK Retail at Entain, said of the landmark: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our 100th Digi-Hub. We’re passionate about creating connected digital experiences in our shops to continue distinguishing ourselves as the market leader.

“Entain sits at the very heart of a fast-paced, ever-evolving world of entertainment, and to continue providing positive player experiences, it’s crucial that we continue to innovate and excite our customers. Digi-Hubs help us do just that and have been a huge hit.”

The news comes shortly after Entain saw its revenue reach £4.2bn ($5.11bn) for 2022. Meanwhile, its underlying EBITDA was 13% higher than the previous year at £993m for 2022, and its gross profit also rose to £2.71bn, up 11% from £2.43bn.
