To receive the RG Check, the organisation is required to undergo a strict process where its responsible gaming programme will be evaluated.
This includes the staff training platforms, player protection measures, policies and procedures in place.
BetMGM submitted its US, Ontario and Borgata online platforms for accreditation.
As part of the process, the RGC would have also delivered a number of recommendations on how BetMGM could improve its responsible gaming programmes.

On 3 March 2023, BetMGM and GameSense renewed their long-standing partnership through the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.
GameSense is an organisation that focuses on positive, supportive and transparent conversations surrounding responsible gaming.
BetMGM has integrated this service into both its desktop and mobile platforms, with GameSense signage displayed prominently in MGM Resorts.

In February, BetMGM responded to the potential US bill that proposed a full ban on any advertising related to gambling.
