The partnership aims to promote sustainability and create impact using mobile games.

Luigi Caradonna, Operal Board Member, said: "We are excited to partner with Liechtenstein Bankers Association to promote sustainability in the gaming industry. We believe gaming can be a powerful tool for social change and we are committed to making a positive impact on the world through our games."

The partnership between Operal Gaming and the Liechtenstein Banking Association shows their common approach to social responsibility and sustainability.

Both companies believe the partnership will allow them to develop games that encourage sustainability and have a beneficial impact on the planet.

Simon Tribelhorn, CEO of Liechtenstein Banks Association, said: "Our clientele expects more than just high-quality services. They want financial institutions to contribute to solving the ecological and social challenges of our time."

Impact gaming is a strategy that combines fun and practical applications. These games are made to inform players about global issues and motivate them to take action.

Impact gaming aims to capitalise on the fundamental drive for quick excitement by providing in-game awards, turning it into an effective force for social change.

Furthermore, in January, payments provider Trustly announced the completion of its acquisition of UK-based Open Banking payments platform Ecospend after receiving FCA approval.

With nearly 50 million customers combined, Trustly and Ecospend have connections to more than 80 banks. They also have a total payments volume in the UK of around £7.5bn ($9.76m) for 2022.
