Octoplay receives Swedish supplier licence
The licence will allow the iGaming developer to offer its catalogue to operators in Sweden.
The Swedish gambling regulator, Spelinspektionen, has awarded Octoplay a supplier licence to operate within the country.
Operators will be able to access a catalogue of Octoplay’s slot library through its proprietary remote gaming server.
Octoplay currently has two in-house studios, Super Hippo and Penguin King, both of which launch a minimum of one new game a month.
While Super Hippo games specialise in ‘Symbols Pays Anywhere’ slot games, Penguin King focuses on cash games and win lines.
Currently, various Super Hippo titles have been confirmed for the Swedish market, including Pearly Shores, Heavy Anchor and Hot Harvest.
Ralitsa Georgieva, Director of Business Development, said: “We are working towards having a licence in every regulated market on the planet, Sweden was a natural early choice and has been a key target since the company was founded.
“We are proud to have secured the necessary approvals to supply our slots to Swedish casinos and to offer players there the excitement of our games for the first time.”
Sweden will mark the fourth market that Octoplay is licensed to supply games in, after receiving licences for Malta, Romania and the UK.
On being awarded its remote gambling software licence from the Gambling Commission, Carl Ejlertsson, CEO of Octoplay, said: “We are proud to have obtained this UKGC licence, which will allow us to deliver our games to our roster of UK partners that have already committed to working together.

Earlier this year, Octoplay announced its partnership with Soft2Bet to launch across Europe.
