Penn Entertainment rebrands customer loyalty programme

The programme will replace the mychoice scheme that was previously employed by Penn Entertainment.

Penn Entertainment has launched Penn Play, its new official customer loyalty programme.

Penn Play will allow customers to earn and redeem rewards across a range of Penn properties, including both gaming and entertainment venues.

There will be five tier levels in total, with additional benefits and rewards exclusive to each one. These are Play, Advantage, Preferred, Elite and Owners Club.

Jay Snowden, CEO and President of Penn Entertainment, said: “Penn’s business has transformed over the last few years as we’ve expanded our retail, online gaming and entertainment experiences.

“With the rebranding of our loyalty program to Penn Play, we are taking steps to better align all of our brands under the Penn umbrella and create a more seamless omni-channel experience for our customers, which we believe will have a meaningful impact on both our retail and online gaming performance.”

Customers will be able to use a range of payment options with Penn Play, including cardless, cashless and contactless technology.

A mobile app has also been released to support the new rewards programme, featuring exclusive promotions and allowing customers to view their rewards progress.

One of the redemption options will be Penn Cash, the new loyalty currency exclusive to Penn Entertainment establishments, which can be used at a number of featured retailers.

To celebrate the launch, Penn Entertainment is hosting a promotion to give away $1.5m in Penn Cash to members who have downloaded the app and completed any further requirements.

Earlier this year, Penn Entertainment finalised its acquisition of Barstool Sports, after previously obtaining a 36% stake in the company.
