Mark Hands has been named the new Venue Director of Alea Glasgow. Alea Glasgow is part of the Metropolitan Gaming Group, which currently operates six casino licences in London and eight branded casinos throughout the UK.
Hands is hopeful of relaunching Alea Glasgow as a premier entertainment destination for the city of Glasgow, with lots of new developments being worked on to rebrand the casino.
Hands takes on the role, having recently been Managing Director of Emerald Resort & Casino in South Africa. In this role, he was responsible for all areas of the business including operations, strategic development of the casino and board meetings.
In his new role at Alea Glasgow, Hands will be in charge of the strategic development of the casino, overseeing all regulatory processes, team management and the day-to-day delivery of service stands and customer experiences.
Hands originally started in a hospitality background as General Manager for Sanguine Hospitality. He would also oversee DoubleTree by Hilton and Cadbury House Hotel in Bristol.
He was later recruited for another member of the Metropolitan Gaming family as Venue Director for Alea Nottingham.
Speaking on his new role, Hands voiced his high hopes for the venue by saying: ''I'm delighted to be joining Alea Glasgow and I'm looking forward to relaunching the venue as a premier destination in entertainment for the city.
"I urge you all if you haven’t visited for a while, pop in and introduce yourself as it would be amazing to showcase all the new developments we are working on."
