Eric Althaus has been promoted to General Manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia by Rush Street Gaming, starting immediately.

He previously served as Assistant General Manager and prior to that served as VP of Gaming at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. He oversaw all gaming operations including the recent first-in-Philly launch of Pulse Arena.

Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rush Street Gaming, said: “Eric’s leadership and familiarity with Rivers Casino Philadelphia will allow for a seamless transition and continuity with key initiatives.

“Our entire Rivers Casino Philly team has been doing a terrific job. We’re looking forward to the upcoming unveiling of the much-anticipated Martorano’s Prime along with other exciting projects in 2023.”

Eric formerly held the positions of VP and General Manager at Gun Lake Casino in Michigan and Mardi Gras Casino & Resort in West Virginia before joining Rivers Philly. He started working in casinos as a supervisor and dealer of table games at several establishments in the Midwest.

Althaus said: “We have amazing talent here in Philly, and we’re continuing the strong forward momentum we’ve gained over the past year. Our success is the direct result of the team’s hard work and dedication.”

Furthermore, an Italian American steakhouse Martorano's Prime will also make its debut soon at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, along with a brand-new Dunkin at the casino.

Last month, the Gaming Control Board levied a fine of $147,500 across three casinos in Pennsylvania – Mount Airy, Mohegan Pennsylvania and Sugarhouse – for not abiding by its consent agreements.

Among them, SugarHouse, operator of Rivers Casino Philadelphia, was issued a $7,500 fine for not properly notifying its security and surveillance staff along with law enforcement about an alleged cheating incident at a table game involving marked cards.
