Hard Rock Deadwood announces Rocksino will open August 2023

The city of Deadwood is famous for its place in the Black Hills Gold Rush period of history, which attracted figures such as Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock to the area.

Hard Rock International has scheduled its Rocksino project in Deadwood, Black Hills National Forest, to open 8 August 2023.

The Rocksino property will host 86 slot machines, a full restaurant and bar hospitality service and a Rock Shop Retail Store for custom Rocksino clothing.

The development team expects to open guest rooms to the public at a time later in the year.

Jon Lucas, COO at Hard Rock International, said: "Hard Rock prides itself on being able to provide authentic and memorable experiences for our guests embodied by music and rich cultural history.

"We are thrilled to become a part of one of the most celebrated historic places in the US and provide an economic stimulus to the city Deadwood."

Hard Rock will announce the details of its partnership with Tunnel to Towers at the Grand Opening Guitar Smash on 8 August.

The partnership will benefit the Oglala Sioux Tribal Veterans Program, as the eighth-largest Native American Reservation in the US.

David Ruth, Mayor of Deadwood, said: "As a community notorious for entertaining guests since 1876, Deadwood is excited to welcome Rocksino by Hard Rock as our newest, ca n't-miss property.

“Our rich, old West history combined with the Hard Rock brand will enhance the Deadwood experience that we are known for.

“The Rocksino by Hard Rock is sure to be an additional gem luring visitors to our amazing community."

In other Hard Rock news, High 5 Games just signed a deal with Hard Rock Hotel Atlantic City over its slot collection.
