Sports betting affiliate Online Betting Guide (OLBG) has now given away more than £1m to its users in its free-to-enter tipster competitions since its launch.

Established in 2002, OLBG began as a guide to betting sites and the latest offers, with information to help sports bettors place bets online, creating a community over time. Its contest, launched back in August 2003, offers players the chance to enter competitions across 22 sports.

The 22 sports that the tipster competitions at OLBG are spread across are: horseracing, baseball, football, cricket, basketball, boxing, darts, esports, golf, motor racing, greyhounds, American football, ice hockey, handball, rugby (union and league), snooker, specials (TV/Politics/Awards), tennis and volleyball.

OLBG has also recently introduced new tables for cycling, Gaelic sports and Aussie Rules.

Alongside giving away over £1m to its users, OLBG has given out 76,953 individual prizes in its free-to-enter competitions since its launch. The community offers the chance to win £7,100 in cash prizes every month, with over 800 individual monthly prizes to be won.

As well as cash, OLBG members can accumulate OLBG crowns via their tipping and other community contributions; these can be exchanged in the OLBG store for merchandise.

Richard Moffat, OLBG CEO, said: “Our tipster competitions have been fundamental in building our engaged sports betting community. Many of our members have been using OLBG on a daily basis for years.

“For some, it’s the challenge of proving themselves and winning prize money, others find it helps them with their own betting by recording their reasoning for each bet and being able to analyse their records. And for many, it's a bit of free fun with the chance to win cash prizes.”
