ne poker operator PartyPoker has launched an updated version of its PartyPoker platform following an extensive round of software improvements and upgrades.

Phase one of the upgrade includes improved game navigation, a collapsible filter to allow more space to view game choice, a new darker lobby and table theme and an updated Sit & Go Hero lobby which can differentiate between three and four-handed games. Following feedback from players, the company has also removed its one click lobby, reverting back to its previous traditional view format.

In a statement announcing the update, Tom Waters, Managing Director for PartyPoker, said the project improves the PartyPoker experience and has been running for a number of months with the support of a large group of PartyPoker players. Waters also explained further changes to the site’s software will be made in the coming months, with phase two of the upgrade scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2017.

Waters added: “There are many more enhancements in the pipeline and I am confident that by the end of 2017 our players will be delighted with the improved look and feel and the usability of the software. We know what the bigger issues are and believe that these upgrades will address all of those.”

Phase two of the upgrade project includes enhanced tournament lobby displays, a better table look and feel with customisation options, the ability to view the site lobby in full screen and further filter information improvements.

PartyPoker ambassador Patrick Leonard, who was part of the team charged with beta testing the software before it was rolled out to PartyPoker’s player base added: “The upcoming software release is another step in the direction of getting our ‘dream poker room’. We see an improvement to the lobby and to the table as well as lots of small tweaks all around the client.

“I tested the software with a dozen or so guys and the feedback was all extremely positive. We’ve given extra feedback about how to further improve the software and from now till the end of the year you should see additional impressive improvements to the overall software.”
