DraftKings creates Chief Business Officer position
US daily fantasy sports heavyweight DraftKings has announced the creation of a new Chief Business Officer position in the company, appointing Ezra Kucharz to the post.
In his new role, Kucharz will oversee business development, corporate development and advertising sales, reporting directly to DraftKings CEO and Co-Founder Jason Robins. In addition, Kucharz will be tasked with identifying opportunities for strategic ventures and future acquisitions.
Before joining DraftKings, Kucharz was the President of CBS Local Digital Media for six years, serving as special advisor to CBS CEO Leslie Moonves. In his role at CBS Local Digital Media, Kucharz successfully combined the digital extensions of CBS’ radio and TV assets.
In a statement announcing the appointment of Kucharz, DraftKings CEO and Co-Founder Jason Robins said: “We see tremendous growth opportunity through expansion of our sales and sponsorships business, strategic M&A, and continued development of our many great partnerships.
“Not only does Ezra bring a wealth of experience in these areas and others; he also brings an entrepreneurial approach that will mesh perfectly with the innovative culture we have built at DraftKings.”
