Judge temporarily blocks release of Steve Wynn investigation report

By Tim Poole

The release of a Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) report about its investigation into Steve Wynn has been temporarily blocked by a judge.

The MGC is investigating allegations of sexual misconduct against Wynn, who resigned as CEO and Chairman of Wynn Resorts in February.

However, Wynn this month filed a lawsuit in Nevada against Wynn Resorts and the MGC, alleging the operator "improperly handed over privileged documents" to the regulator.

According to the Associated Press, Clark County District Court Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez told attorneys she will hear arguments about whether the MGC’s report contains confidential information.

While the arguments are heard, a temporary block on the planned release will be imposed.

Wynn’s lawyers are seeking a permanent block on any such publication of the report.
