As part of the agreement, the Stars Group will use official NBA betting data, as well as partnering with the sports league to tackle responsible gaming issues.

A number of gambling companies have signed sponsorship and data agreements with American sports leagues recently, with the NBA already having partnered with Sportradar and MGM Resorts International.

Caesars Entertainment has also agreed a deal to partner with NBA side the Philadelphia 76ers.

NBA Head of Fantasy & Gaming, Scott Kaufman-Ross, said: “The Stars Group is an accomplished global online gaming leader and we are excited to work with them on their first U.S. sports league partnership.”

Matt Primeaux, SVP of US Strategy & Operations at the Stars Group, said: “This agreement enables us to use official NBA data and league marks, providing a better experience to our customers, while working with the NBA to protect the integrity of games.”
