Kambi launches sportsbook at South Philadelphia Turf Club

Kambi and its partner, Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, have opened their second land-based sportsbook in a week, at the South Philadelphia Turf Club in Pennsylvania.

The Turf Club received regulatory clearance to make its sports betting debut after two days of testing by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) and the launch follows the opening of Kambi’s sportsbook at Parx Casino.

An off-track betting establishment, the Turf Club is located in Philadelphia’s major league sports hub, close to Lincoln Financial Field and Stadium, where current Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, play.

Max Meltzer, Kambi Chief Commercial Officer, said: "The prime location of the South Philadelphia Turf Club offers Kambi a unique platform to reach some of Philadelphia’s most passionate sports fans who, when going to support their teams, also want some skin in the game."

The launch at the Turf Club marks Kambi’s fourth on-property sportsbook in the state, with plans being made to open another venue at Greenwood’s Valley Forge Turf Club.

The supplier says a Parx-branded online sportsbook will be launched when the PGCB permits mobile betting in the state.
