Sands Bethworks Gaming, an operator of Sands Casino Resort in Northampton County, received two penalties.

The first was a $120,000 fine for underage gaming regulations and the second related to the awarding of free slot play, which cost the operator $110,000.

Published details of the initial offence showed Sands Bethwork Gaming was found to have committed 11 offences of allowing underage patrons onto the gaming floor, making bets and consuming alcohol.

The second fine sanctioned by the PGCB relates to employees who issued free slot play when they were not permitted to do so.

Washington Trotting Association, operator of Meadows Racetrack Casino in Washington County, violated underage gaming codes and was fined $12,500 for its offence.

An 18-year-old male was found to have gained access to the gaming floor, going on to wager at a table, as well as being served alcohol.
