Integration of blocking software Gamban within Lloyds Banking Group was completed at the end of last month, with a number of consumers having already activated the system.
The software has the ability to block transactions and access to online gambling websites, for those most at risk of harm.
Gamban Founder, Jack Symons, said: "It’s very positive to see forward-thinking banking institutions such as Lloyds Banking Group rise to the challenge of protecting vulnerable customers from gambling addiction, through barriers such as spend control and collaboration with Gamban."
Consumer Finance Managing Director at Lloyds Banking Group, Elyn Corfield, said: "We know gambling-related harm can have serious and long-term impacts on our customers and we are committed to making sure they can easily access a wide range of support."
In addition to the partnership, Lloyds has been working with experts in the gaming industry, as well as introducing its ‘Gambling Transaction Freezes’ add-on, an additional layer of protection from problem gambling.
