European gambling market recovering
Enlabs, a Latvian operator, is allowed to resume operations after a ban on gambling was lifted on 9 June. Land-based gambling was restricted due to the COVID-19 starting 22 March, and online casinos were closed 6 April, but as of now, both operations can re-start.
George Ustinov, Enlabs president, said, “Latvia is back. Now we can continue to provide the best service and entertainment to our customers.” He thanked the company’s employees for their efforts and “solidarity during the long period”, adding the company worked hard to improve customer experience and are looking forward to “launching updated and improved products”.
Société des Bains de Mer, a casino group in Monte Carlo, also celebrated the resumption of work in Café de Paris Casino de Monte Carlo, as well as the Place du Casino. On 5 June, the gaming rooms in both casinos were re-opened, complete with new customer paths through the gaming floors, and all rooms, tables and machines have been re-organised as well to comply with new social distancing regulations.
CEO of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group, Jean-Luc Biamonti, said, “The resumption of our gaming, hotel, restaurant, well-being, shopping and entertainment activities is a long-awaited moment for the Group. Our absolute priority is the health and safety of our customers and our employees.” Biamonti added the Group worked hard to comply with government requirements to make the exclusive casino a safe place to play.
