Intralot has announced the launch of E*SOCCER betting on its U*BET sportsbook in Malta.

Esports betting has grown exponentially during the COVID-19 pandemic, although the vertical was already on the rise beforehand.

While the growth of esports betting is expected to slow following the return of major sport, it is still hugely on the rise and operating with significantly higher volumes than pre-pandemic.

As such, through Intralot, Maltco Lotteries can now offer players betting on the electronic football leagues of FIFA 20, powered by Sportradar.

MaltCo Lotteries CEO Vasileios Kasiotakis said: “Maltco Lotteries is always seeking to innovate and differentiate its offering by introducing new games in Malta.

"Intralot has been instrumental in our company’s modernisation by providing us with next-generation solutions."

Intralot Group CEO Dr. Chris Dimitriadis said: “We are proud to see Maltco Lotteries at the forefront of retail transformation elevating the digital experience of players.

"Intralot has built upon a broad portfolio of next-generation solutions and operational expertise across verticals that enable lottery, and gaming operators, to forge new opportunities in unprecedented times and drive growth.”

Gambling Insider recently spoke to Dimitriadis for an exclusive video interview, which you can see here.
