PointsBet announces media partnership with NBCUniversal

PointsBet has inked a multi-year media partnership with broadcasting and entertainment company NBCUniversal in a deal worth nearly $400 million.

As part of the five-year agreement, PointsBet will become the official sports betting partner of NBC Sports in the US, gaining access to over 184 million viewers and digital assets spanning 60 million monthly active users.

The media group, which serves viewers with premier live events around the clock, will also provide PointsBet with a broad range of media and marketing opportunities and exclusive rights to some promotional opportunities.

NBC Sports broadcasts programming from the NFL, NHL, NASCAR, The PGA Tour, Premier League and the French Open, among others.

“NBC Sports is an iconic brand and holder of the largest sports audience in the US, which brings significant credibility and trust to PointsBet’s operations,” said PointsBet MD and Group CEO Sam Swanell.

“[NBC’s] broadcast assets will act as the cornerstone of our marketing strategy and combined with our in-house technology and products, as well as our talented and experienced team, will deliver outstanding client acquisition and retention efficiency as we scale rapidly over the next five years.”
