Inspired Entertainment awarded supplier licence in Ontario
By Gambling Insider

As such, the company plans to initiate a launch of its iGaming products in Ontario at the start of the second quarter of 2022. It will have 25 games certified within its portfolio at the time of launch, including games such as Big Spin Bonus, Big Fishing Fortune and the retro classic, Space Invaders.

Claire Osborne, Inspired VP of Interactive, said: “Ontario’s iGaming market officially opens to licensed operators on 4 April 2022 and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the newly regulated iGaming market. With a population of nearly 15 million people, Ontario's demographics compare favourably to states like New Jersey or Michigan, where we already operate.

"We expect Ontario to present a significant market opportunity for us, and we look forward to players in Ontario enjoying our games.”

Inspired already operates in Canada, as Loto-Québec already offers its interactive casino content online. In addition, the company holds several working partnerships in regulated markets in the US, including New Jersey, Connecticut and Michigan.

We recently brought news of the move into Michigan with Inspired collaborating with GAN, a New York-based B2B provider that is equally attempting to extend its reach across North America with its aggregation platform.

At the time of this partnership, Brooks Pierce, Inspired Entertainment President and COO, remarked: “Multiple top iGaming operators in the US use GAN’s platform and we are excited to collaborate with the GAN team.

"We are in the early innings of rollout in the US digital gaming industry and having GAN as a platform partner broadens our market access.”
