Operator bet365 launches Colorado sportsbook, goes big on new customer offer
By Matthew Nicholson

It marks the second state that bet365 has moved into, following New Jersey, and comes in time for the kick-off of the new American football season next week.

Speaking on the launch, a bet365 spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to announce that the world’s favourite online sports betting brand will now be available to sports fans in Colorado. The season-opening NFL weekend will provide new and eligible customers with the opportunity to experience bet365’s market-leading in-play product as well as enjoying our unrivalled new customer offer.”

As an industry giant, bet365 has opted for the cautious approach in the rapidly expanding US market, a move that has surprised many, as other sportsbook operators such as FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM have all targeted new markets as soon as possible.

The US now has numerous states which allow online sports betting, with Kansas being the most recent to open up, with several sportsbooks offering players the chance to gamble on sporting events following the 1 September launch date. While Massachusetts has also recently elected to legalise sports betting, after the state house and senate passed the bill into law on the final day of its session before the summer recess.

In other news, bet365 recently launched a new fantasy football product in the UK. Last month, the operator sent out emails to its customer base informing of the launch and encouraging people to sign up ahead of the new Premier League season.
