IGT Canada Solutions signs five-year contract extension with Loto-Québec
By Louis Thompsett

The contract extension will run through September 2027.

IGT COO of Gaming Nick Khin said: "IGT's Intelligen system will offer Loto-Québec progressive tools and functionality that will help position them for future success.

"Loto-Québec will receive the most advanced updates Intelligen has to offer, allowing them access to quick insight into the status of their entire VLT network."

Per the terms of extension, IGT will upgrade Loto-Québec’s video lottery central system to the latest version of Intelligen, which includes upgraded network diagnostics and data analytics.

In addition, IGT will provide support to the Intelligen system from its European Operational Centre.

IGT’s Intelligen system also provides Loto-Québec with the supplier’s PlayDigital games and casino cabinets. These systems are deployed worldwide and connect video lottery terminals to a variety of gaming environments.

The supplier’s central system supports the Gaming Standards Association’s Game-to-System standard protocol.

Recently, IGT partnered with Station Casinos to implement its Resort Wallet and IGTPay cashless gaming modules.

The Resort Wallet with IGTPay combination was named Product Innovation of the Year at the 2021 Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas, with the supplier claiming this new deal puts Vegas at the "epicentre of the cashless gaming revolution."

Via the STN Cash app, IGT's technology – including the IGT Advantage casino management system – is present at six of Station Casinos' properties.

Advantages billed by the provider include players no longer requiring a physical boarding pass card during slot play, as well as "quick, convenient funding of play" straight from a mobile app.
