The licence has been granted by the Ohio Casino Control Commission, and comes ahead of the legal sports betting market opening in the state on 1 January 2023.

Upon receiving the licence, the company noted: “Sportradar now holds 41 licences, or equivalent, in North America across US states, territories, tribes, and Canada, providing its services to a wide range of clients operating within these jurisdictions, and advancing transparency and integrity and delivering accurate sports data to sanctioned sports betting and gaming agencies.”

Sportradar has over 3,500 team members working across 20 countries throughout the world.

Last month, the group posted its Q3 results, which showed a 31% growth in revenue for the quarter, totalling €178.8m ($185m).

The report also showed Sportradar’s adjusted EBITDA grew to €36.4m in Q3 2022, against €20.8m for the same period in 2021 – representing a rise of 75%.

For the first nine months of the year ending September, Sportradar’s revenue totalled €523.9m compared to €408.8m in 2021, and its EBITDA rose to €90.7m from €80.6m.

And in October 2022, it was announced that Sportradar’s legal dispute with Genius Sports and Football DataCo (FDC) had been resolved. The resolution enables FDC to continue to license and market FDC data as it determines in the future.

Furthermore, Genius Sports shall maintain the exclusive right to provide low-latency official FDC betting data until 2024.
