The venue – which is 450 feet high – turned blue and yellow to show its support for the nation. Moreover, in partnership with the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International will hold a Ukraine Relief Fund Gala to benefit Ukraine War Victims.

Raising funds for children and families who have been impacted by the invasion in Ukraine, the gala will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the Seminole Hard Rock on 22 April.

Olympic Gold Medalist, International Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee and two-time World Champion heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko – who is from Ukraine – will host the event. The Hard Rock Heals Foundation is a nonprofit organisation.

Ceremonies have been taking place globally to mark the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022.

In July 2022, French national lottery operator Française des Jeux (FDJ) made a €200,000 ($203,552) donation to support Ukrainian refugees in France, with the sizeable sum divided between two organisations, with the lion’s share – €180,000 – going to Bibliotheques Sans Frontières, otherwise known as Libraries Without Borders.

FDJ’s endowment will finance the creation of a mobile app, to be developed in partnership with Ukrainian-speaking French as a foreign language experts. This will primarily include educational content to support Ukrainian refugees learning French, but will also be designed to help them better integrate into French society.
