By Matthew Nicholson

Deputy President Stéphane Valeri says the new CEO will begin his role on 12 April, having previously worked for Pepsi Co, Davidoff and Novartis.

In his new role, Manzone will have a wide net, and be responsible for maintaining and improving all operational functions of the company, including operations such as gaming, hospitality, restaurants, finance, marketing and digital IT, as well as human resources.

Furthermore, Virginie Cotta Margossian was recently appointed as the company’s new Secretary General, with Pascal Camia, the current Director of Operations, taking the role of Director of International Development.

Currently, the group is undergoing a reorganisation, with a new CFO, CMO and Chief Information Officer all looking to be appointed in the near future.

Valeri himself was made Deputy Chairman of the Société des Bains de Mer in January – after his predecessor, Jean-Luc Biamonti, retired.

Commenting on his new position in January, Valeri said: “I take up my new position with pride within this great company to which my family and I have been very attached for several generations.

“Thanks to the work of my predecessor, Mr Jean-Luc Biamonti, to whom I would like to pay tribute, the Société des Bains de Mer is today in a very good economic and financial situation.

“I thank the Board of Directors for its confidence. I am aware of the magnitude of the task ahead of me, and I am fully committed from now on to continue to make the Principality’s economic flagship prosper and shine.”
