Pennsylvania Casino operators fined by regulators
Pennsylvania’s gaming control board, the PGCB, has issued fines to two casinos in the state totalling $22,500 after it found evidence of regulatory violations.
The Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Fayette County was fined $10,000 after a violation involving the play of their table games. It is the second time in two months that they have been fined by the PGCB having already paid $15,000 for failing to correctly deal with an intoxicated patron.
IGT Global Solutions Corporation, a manufacturing licensee in the state was fined $12,500 after the PGCB found that it had allowed an unlicensed employee to serve on its board of directors as chairman for more than 90 days.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has issued fines totalling $334,500 for the first four months of 2017.
Its latest penalties follow PGCB publication of state casino revenue figures for the first quarter of 2017, which reported a year-on-year table games revenue increase of 10.2% compared to the same period in 2016.
Meadows Casino reported the biggest year-on-year increase in table game revenue, growing by 52.85% from $2.84m for Q1 2016 to $4.34m for Q1 2017. It also reported a 7.29% year-on-year increase in revenue generated from slot machines.
The Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin reported the biggest year-on-year loss in table gaming revenue, dropping 40.07% from $459,271 in the first quarter of 2016 to $275,324 Q1 2017, also reporting a 7.86% year-on-year decrease in slots revenue.
